Yes, I have a CD named "Milestones" performed by Davis, Adderley,
Coltrane, Chambers, Garland, and Joe Jones. Almost anything by Davis
before 1970 was extermely interesting. Most of the stuff after 1970 was
less interesting *imo*, but sure was loud.

Those old records by Davis are great to burn, because most of them
contain only 35 or so minutes of music, but are still full priced. I
recently bought Dylan's "Blonde on Blonde" cd. What was a double lp set
is now a single cd, and priced accordingly. They should do that with
those old jazz sets. Back in the 50s, Davis' first classic quintet was
paid $2000. to be shared by the whole band by Prestige Records, and
the sobs are still charging full price. Thievery everywhere!
